SUMMIT POINT, WV — The GK Motorsports / K-Hill Racing team wrapped up the 2014 SCCA Majors Eastern Conference season at Summit Point Raceway in solid fashion, making it a 1-2 finish during Saturday’s race, then a 1-2-3 podium finish on Sunday. In addition to winning both races, Conner Kearby broke Summit Point’s Formula Atlantic track record, and Gaston Kearby secured the Eastern Conference Championship.

Saturday’s race found Conner leading the grid and holding the lead to the end, setting the new FA track record for Summit Point Raceway’s 2-mile course in the process with a best lap of 1:06.533. Gaston moved around and fought off Chris Fahan during the entire 27-lap race in the battle for 2nd, coming out on top at the checkered flag. In doing so, the 2013 Mid-States Conference Champion secured the 2014 Eastern Conference Championship.

Sunday’s race once again saw Conner taking the checkered flag and even resetting his track record with a 1:06.338 lap time. Gaston followed up in 2nd, with fellow K-Hill Motorsports driver Bruce Hamilton, who did not start Saturday, rounding out the podium in 3rd.
